Google celebrates Sesame Street’s Anniversary….Sesame Street celebrates its 40th anniversary and to mark its birthday Google put the Big Birds’ legs as ‘L’ in its logo today.
Sesame Street is probably one of the oldest children shows and almost everyone have fond memories of the show. I and many children of my age grew up watching Sesame Street, Bert and Ernie, and Snuffy. Sesame Street has earned much popularity among millions around the world and its popularity has increased over the years. More recently, Michelle Obama went to Sesame Street to give a message to the public. Apparently, Michelle was more excited for being a part of Sesame Street than speaking in a UN summit. ‘I never thought I’d be on Sesame Street with Elmo and Big Bird, and I was thrilled and I still am, ‘Said a very excited Michelle.
Google Doodle, one of the popular services of Google, designed an exclusive logo to commemorate the longest running TV show and made L with the Big Bird’s legs. The whole page was colored yellow.
The TV show which started in 1969 will mark its birthday on November 10. To celebrate the birthday, the Big Bird (Sesame Street’s trademark birdie) is visiting various TV shows. Big Bird will appear as a featured guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The featured appearance will continue whole month. Other Muppets of Sesame Street like Elmo and Rosita will appear on “Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? Too.
