Shadi Sadr is a prominent Iranian lawyer, journalist and women’s rights activist. Shadi Sadr was born in 1974, who is a dynamic legal representative against effecting cases in Iran. Shadi Sadr majored (mainly a U.S. and Canadian term for a college or university) in political science and law. She has also got the degree of Masters from Tehran University in 1999. Shadi Sadr is editor in chief of the website “Women in Iran” as well.
According to many reformist websites, while Shadi Sadr was going to Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani`s much-anticipated on Friday sermon, she was arrested by the plainclothes policemen. Shadi Sadr was walking among numerous other female activists, when she was approached by persons in civil dress who forcing her into a waiting car without showing any warrant according a report from “Mothers of Laleh” (the activist group blog).
Contradictory reports say that Shadi Sadr called her husband to inquire for a “Computer Password” or a “Cellphone private recognition number, but her location is still unidentified. Previouisly, Shadi Sadr was also arrested on 4th of March, 2007 for 15 days immediately before the women’s day demonstrations in Tehran and afterward was released on bail along with “Mahbubeh Abbasgholizadeh” on 19th of March, 2007. Shadi Sadr has clashed for several times with authorities due to her outspoken on capital punishment and women`s rights.
