Shane Sparks has been arrested for the charges related to sexual encounter with a minor. Shane Sparks is serving as a judge for the show “America’s Best Dance Crew” and is also a choreographer at “So You Think You Can Dance”
He was taken into custody on Friday. He was under investigation for having sexual relationships with a child under the age of 15.
The identity of the minor has not been disclosed to preserve the privacy of the victim. According to the police records, Shane Sparks’ sexual relations with the minor started in 1994. The physical relations went on for several years.
The minor is a female and reportedly has disclosed the details as she has grown up and has summoned enough courage to talk to police. Shane Sparks is under custody for multiple charges of sexual contact with a minor of the age of fourteen or less. He has also been charged for oral sex with the minor.
Shane Sparks has been mostly known for his choreography skills in ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.
Shane Sparks’ parents were police officers and Shane started dancing at a very early age. A childhood tragedy spearheaded his career. His sister’s boyfriend was murdered and dancing became a refuge for the choreographer. Telling the story of his choreography, Shane tells how he accidently taught dance steps as the real person was away. When the original choreographer came, he was so impressed by his skills that he chose him as his assistant.
