Shay Sorrells has been eliminated from the Biggest Loser. Shay Sorrells is one of the two contestants who have been eliminated from The Biggest Loser on Tuesday night show. Last show brought one of the most interesting episodes as two contestants from the same team were eliminated while two trainers violated their oath against favoritism. The two participants of the show which were eliminated on Tuesday night include Shay Sorrells and Daniel Wright. Daniel is 20-years-old and Shay Sorrells is 29-years-old. Both the ladies are obese and weighted too much when first appeared on the show. Daniel didn’t lose much hence was eliminated for being the contestant who has lost the least while Shay on the other hand lost over 100 pounds.
Shay Sorrells weighed 476 pounds when she first appeared on the show but now she weighs 376 pound – a 100 pound difference. Though it is good achievement on Shay’s part, it couldn’t save her from being eliminated from the show. When the result was announced Shay started crying. Her elimination came as sad news for her fans as she was eliminated at point when there are only three weeks left in the grand finale.
The remaining contestants are Rudy Pauls, Liz Young, Allen Smith and Rebecca Meyer from the Blue team while Danny Cahill and Amanda Arlauskas from the Black team. Both Shay and Daniel belonged to the Black team.
Shay Sorrells came on the show with an ambition. She said that she wanted to lose her weight so that she could be able to do what she wanted to do. She told in an interview that her goal is to get back in shape so that she could run with her kids, could wear the dress on weddings she couldn’t wear due to her weight, and to get freedom from health-related issues. A social worker, Shay told that her weight has created problems at her work. She said that her obese figure affects her image while she tries to motivate people at work.
The Biggest Loser former contestant, Shay Sorrells does three part time jobs and works as an internee too. She holds a 4.0 CGPA in her Master’s degree in Social Work Program.
