Siberian cats are Russia’s national cats. The breed is such a lovely look to them, that they attract everybody’s attention and more importantly loving feelings. People domesticating Siberian Cats call them “love at first sight”. They look so cuddly and innocent that children feel it impossible to hold back their feelings for them. An interesting fact about Siberian cats is that they are considered “hypoallergenic”. Siberian cats were imported in U.S in 90s; however they are still a very rare breed in America.
Siberian cats have thick furry coat and strong body. They are usually very active and easily domesticated. If the care is taken that these cats do not get infection from outside, it is usually safe to keep them around.
As I was diagnosed with clinical depression, I was put on a drug cocktail. Unfortunately nothing was working for me. Surfing the net, there was a report that depressed patients could be benefited by having pets in the house. As I talked to my doc we both agreed that a cat around is a good idea. Entering the cattery I looked around I saw Anderson lying peacefully in his cage. Exactly true to their reputation it was a love at first sight.
Andy never wants to be ignored and in the case that happens, he is all set to do something nasty like throwing some glass cup down etc. Living together we have developed very good understanding of each other. And Andy’s best gift for me … is that my depression has improved a lot.
