The TV journalist María de la Soledad Teresa O’Brien is well-known to general public by the name of Soledad O’Brien and nowadays hosting the Special Investigation unit program on CNN is of Afro-Cuban and Irish ethnicity, born in St. James, New York United States on 19th September, 1966, she started her career by joining NBC news in 1991.
Soledad O’Brien came a long way to become an anchor of newscast “American Morning” on CNN and now she hosts the program Special Investigation unit, starting her career as an associate producer and news writer at WBZ Television but it was no sooner than 1991 that she became a news caster for NBC News, she joined KRON and worked three years as a local reporter and bureau chief for the network, during the time she also reported for “The Know Zone” while working for KRON an affiliated network of NBC.
She did study at Harvard University from 1984 to 1988 like her other 6 siblings but acquired her degree in 2000. Soledad O’Brien joined MSNBC Network in spring of 1996 and anchored a weekend morning show “The Site” for almost a year; she then co-anchored a program for NBC named as “Weekend Today”, during the time she also reported for a weekday show called “Today Show” while contributing for NBC Nightly News too.
Married in 1995 Soledad O’Brien and Bradley Raymond have 4 children together twin sons and 2 daughter, Sofia and Cecilia Elizabeth born in 2000 and 2002 whereas the twin sons Charlie and Jackson were born in 2004.
