Sabrina Le Beauf acted as Sondra Huxtable in “The Cosby Show”. The Character of Sondra, the elder girl of the family, was added during the course of the show. The production decided to add to the Huxtables another child representing the result of a good education. To interpret this role, two actresses were in lists: Sabrina The Beauf, 26 years and Whitney Houston, 21. Whitney lacked experience that gave Sabrina Le Beauf a chance. Sabrina wasn’t the most natural choice for the eldest Cosby kid, but she did it.
Regarding the setting of The Cosby Show, Huxtables live in the family house, to the heart of New York. The father, Dr.Heathcliff, likes to joke, and pass time with its children. He is a highly intelligent and a fine man. As a psychologist, he always arrives to resolve the family crises or to explain the things to its children. Clair is a fine and intelligent woman, but she is more serious in attitude than his husband, Sondra, the elder one, is more beautiful, more impertinent and intelligent, Théodore, the only son, is a young dynamic and funny man as his father, Denise is a rebel to the spirit. Vanessa is the adolescent typical one, worried about the looks and passionate, and at last Rudy, the youngest, trying to find a place and identity in the family.
