The console that made its entry with a bang not so many years ago has, as of yesterday, been down with a virus. The Sony Twitter posts have sparked a great surge of curiosity worldwide about what the nature of the problem is. The Sony Twitter page says that the users of the slim models of either 120 or 250 GB are having no problems connecting; they are “connecting normally.”
One of the users has said that there is a bug in the older PS3 model and that the best advice would be to keep it powered off until the problem is resolved by the company. Before the more recent post on Sony Twitter, it stated that the company acknowledges the fact that the users are having problems connecting to the network, after which it posted that the issues are being narrowed and that the working staff will be on the job till the services are restored.
The network, which is home to as many as thirty-eight million users around the globe. Around four o’clock yesterday the first reports of the ‘glitch’ came about after which it was soon discovered that the problem isn’t local at all rather is being faced by PS3 users worldwide.
The network is used by the owners as a source of downloads for software’s and applications directly from the online shops. Other than being a source of downloading new material, it is the base on which millions of gamers play multiplayer games with each other around the world. If the company wants to maintain its share of the market it better resolve this issue sooner better than later.
