With the word squirrel, a very active, brilliant and bright tiny animal comes into mind but here squirrel is a name given to a new invention in computer software. Jack Dorsey, the creator of twitter was working on the plan to turn iPhones into credit card readers and he has succeeded in his efforts. This new software project that is going to become a gossip between tech blogs, disclosed with a codename Squirrel.
It was reported in the early summer that technology trying to use iPod and iPhones touches for credit card readings. The project that is called Square is a device involving an iPhone app and associated electronic device into an iPhone payment system. It facilitates an iPhone or iPod touch to turn into a sort of mini credit card reader, with this magic device, you can deliver your payment on the spot everywhere and no matter how much big transaction you are going to do.
Squirrel consists of a small piece of plastic that adjusts in to the headphone. The customer jabs their card in this device that transfers the statistics to an iPhone app. Once the desired amount has been entered, the customers check it by signing with finger and receive a receipt via e-mail.
Jack Dorsey refused to give remarks about this device right away. However it’s already recognized Squirrel as a service that permits anyone to become a merchant with an iPhone. This will facilitate to valuable customer to make their transactions with mobile like devices.
