Stacey Tookey

Stacey Tookey is originally from Canada and she is a choreographer. Yesterday on 17 June, 2009 Stacey Tookey has appeared as a guest choreographer in FOX Networks TV program “So You Think You Can Dance”. Stacey Tookey of “SYTYCD Canada was given a difficult task to choreograph a contemporary dance for “Karla Garcia and Jonathan Platero”. I think she has done an excellent job, the dance was about two strangers falling in love, very theatrical with flailing arms and typical contemporary material, it was set to the Frames’ “Falling Slowly,” which made it excellent. Karla Garcia and Jonathan Platero also needed to needed to redeem themselves after an uninspiring week. It seemed like that both of them worked hard and were looking good as a couple.

Mary thought that Jonathan performance, as contemporary dancer was better than his own “Latin ballroom” genre, whereas Nigel speculate that the two danced excellently and their performance this week pretty much declared that they are back in the game after a performance last week that almost took them on the edge of elimination.

I believe that Karla and Jonathan got these comments because they had an excellent choreographer on their backs, yes I am talking about Stacey Tookek. She has taught master classes in Mexico, Argentina, and Italy and all over North America. She has received many awards as a choreographer.

I think Stacey Tookay has performed a major role in the success of “Karla Garcia and Jonathan Platero” this week on “So You Think You Can Dance”.
