On September 17, President Barack Obama will award “Medal of Honor” to Staff Sgt. Jared C. Monti, U.S. Army for prominent courage. He will get the “Medal of Honor” posthumously because of his heroic actions during battle in Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. Jared Monti showed uncommon valor and immeasurable courage in fight. He scarified his life to save his companion in 21st June, 2006. The parents of Staff Seargent Monti (Paul Monti and Janet Monti) will join the “President Barack Obama” at “White House” to honor the example of sacrifice and selfless services by their son.
Staff Sgt. Jared Monti will be the 6th soldier among the other who received the Medal of Honor since 9/11. However, there is no official statement yet issued on the explanation of what Jared Monti did to call for Medal but father of Jared Monti said that he was killed whilst annoying to save his companion soldier in a You Tube video. The Medal of Honor is the highest award that can be given to military personnel. The investigation team of Staff Sgt. Jared Monti occupied an observation position when they were attacked close to Gowardesh, Afghanistan in which Jared Monti was killed by opponent fire.
Staff Sgt. Jared C. Monti was born on 20th of September, 1975. He was a resident of Raynham, Massachusetts. Jared Monti did his graduation from “Bridgewater-Raynham High School”. In March 1993, he was listed in US Army. Staff Sgt. Jared Monti attended his “Basic Training” and “Advanced Individual Training” at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
