Starbucks is launching its global sing-along campaign to support Red, the charity fund for Aids in South Africa this Monday. The Starbucks Love Project is all about spreading love and singing to raise funds for Aids prevention in South Africa. The campaign is promoting a global sing-along which will be held on this Monday December 7 at 1.30 p.m. GMT. The live coverage of the event can be seen on the dedicated website of the Starbucks Love Project. On this day and this particular time, musicians from around the world will perform the Beatles classic song ‘All You Need Is Love’ together. It will be streamed live on the Starbucks Love Project website. Participants from around the world will be able to submit their own version of the song to be a part of the event. The money charged for each video will be donated to the Global fund for fighting Aids.
Starbucks has also launched (RED) branded coffee to help raise the charity. The (RED) campaign of Starbucks kicked off the December 1, the World Aids Day. The coffee franchise will be donating 5 cents on every coffee purchase from Starbucks participating stores. In addition to this, Starbucks has launched a special CD under its Love Project. The CD which is titled ‘All You Need Is Love’ is featuring beautiful songs by U2, John Legend, and Dave Mathews. The title track is also included by Playing for Change. The CD is available at $15 and with each purchase of the CD, $1 will be donated to the Global Fund to fight Aids.
Starbucks is set to start a massive Facebook advertisement campaign to promote its project.
