West Virginia is under state of emergency. While monitoring the winter storm carrying snow on the edge and anticipating the seriousness of situation, state of emergency has been declared in the West Virginia by the Gov. Joe Manchin. Gov. Joe ordered the National Guard to help the other agencies to remove the snow from the roads and to provide the emergency assistance in operations; at the same time he declared the state of emergency in West Virginia.
Well, on the whole the weather conditions are not worst in the most part of the West Virginia to declare the state of emergency but to the safer end the administration took the step to announce the state of emergency in West Virginia to avoid any problems and hurdles. Northern Panhandle and Beckely aren’t having very bad weather conditions and National Guard has not been activated in these areas.
Manchin stated that the administration is doing its best in the best possible way to handle the bad weather conditions. He said we are trying to help out the people on the roads, people are working to restore electricity but the snow is getting hard on us to fix the things as soon as possible. The storm is currently on the north and moving through the state. The National Guard and other agencies are providing more resources to face the music.
The Governor further stated that we are monitoring the situation very closely and crews are working where they are required and they are removing the snow hurdles form the roadways.
