Stephen Gately

Death always comes with silent pace, Stephen Gately, 33 years old Irish pop singer of boy-band boyzone, tragically died while sleeping, on Saturday. He was on holidays with his partner Andy Cowles and was staying on a Spanish east coast, island of Majorca while the other four members of the band, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy planned to fly out to Majorca on Sunday.

It is being reported that Gately drank too much and returned late in night to the hotel where he was staying and went to sleep. This was the last time he was seen alive by any one, an unexpected and a tragic incident indeed.

Boyzone manager Louis Walsh said that they all are unquestionably shocked; moreover, he said he was with him on Monday at Britain Awards ceremony and nobody knew what is going to happen in coming days. Stephen Gately was an Ireland born singer and he joined Boyzone in 1993. Ronan Keating and Gately, both shared chief vocals and band had touched the sky of success with six top songs, attaining number one position. He also had performed on various stage presentations including his performance in Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Gately got married with Andrew Cowles twice, first in a promising ceremony in 2003, in Las Vegas and then more officially in a civil enterprise ceremony in 2006, in London.

His death will be grieved for a long time not only by band members but by fans too, he was gem of a person, artist and a singer.
