The ESPN sports analyst Steve Phillips has been fired as a consequence of his affair with his production assistant, Brooke Hundley. The controversy led to his admission regarding the affair. The ESPN announced the action taken by the network yesterday when Phillips was supposed to present his expert views on the game 6 of ALCS.
The Network fired Steve Philips on the ground that his damaged reputation has made him less popular and he has lost his perception of an effective analyst for the network. So this handicap has forced them to say good-bye to him. Phillips was on leave well before the statement issued by ESPN.
He was on leave to settle issues when the news of his affair started to circulate in the media. Steve’s relationship with her assistant started when he was working at the All-Star game. The relation was exposed by the assistant when she smelled that Phillips is breaking up with her. She got furious and dropped a letter at his residence exposing her relationship with her. Not only this she impersonated herself and tried to get information from Philip’s child.
Phillips and her wife gave a statement to police blaming that Brooke Hundley is threatening them on Phone. Phillips has earned a lot of respect from his fans and he had grown as a popular analyst of the sports Channel. It was not the first time he admitted his relationship outside marriage. Previously, he admitted to have an affair when he was in the top management of Met.
