Susan graduated from Montana State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in English. Susan has been an anchor/reporter for many different TV networks; she is not only an anchor but also an announcer on radio station WWNO-FM 89.9 In New Orleans. Susan has interviewed a huge number of celebrities and politicians including former US President and Arkansas Governor William Jefferson Clinton. Currently, Roesgen works for CNN.
Susan is a general assignment correspondent for CNN Chicago. Susan joined CNN after more than 10 years covering the Gulf Coast. She was the first reporter hired by CNN for the CNN Gulf Coast agency in 2005. In September 2007 she moved to CNN’s Chicago office. Throughout her career, Susan has enclosed a variety of news’s from all over the country and from all over the world. She discovered the secrets of the pyramids in Egypt, sailed on the Sea of Galilee in Israel and perambulated with U.S. Army troops in Haiti, for CNN, she not only covered the devastation and re-modernization of New Orleans following Katrina, but the bridge collapse in Minneapolis, Minn., and several floods, tornadoes and snow storms. In addition, she became the first national TV reporter to cover the tumultuous “Jena 6″ episode in that Louisiana town.
Susan has also been a prime-time newscaster from San Diego to New York. She became the co-host of National Geographic Today on the National Geographic Channel in 2001. Her coverage knowledge also includes live convey of rocket launches at Cape Canaveral, an Emmy-award winning documentary on thefts in New Orleans historic cemeteries and reporting for National Public Radio.
