Swine Influenza is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by “A” type flu virus that cause flu in pigs frequently. High level of illness and low death rate was caused by “Swine flu” in pigs. Throughout the year the circulation of “Swine flu” was found in hogs, but most of the time it attacks pigs and humans in the same season during late fall and or during winter months. In the 1930′s “swine flu” virus was discovered in pigs. Like all other flu viruses, this “swine flu” viruses change continually. It was revealed after the research that there are different variations of “swine flu” viruses present there are mainly 4 sub-types of this “A type Swine Flu” virus “H1N1, H1N2, H3N2, and H3N1″ but however lately isolated flu viruses from pigs have been H1N1 viruses.

A distinctive virus of “swine flu” is the alleged killer of 20 people in Mexico; On Friday, Mexican authorities have closed schools, museums, libraries and theaters capacitate the virus for a Global flu outbreak.

Hong Kong, March of 2008 half-million students were ordered to stay home for at least two weeks due to the outbreak of “swine flu”. It was the second biggest outbreak in Hong Kong after the outbreak of SARS.

They also said that it is possible that it is a new virus of or it might have been present around for a while and was not detected before and now due to the enhanced testing and observation, the virus came in to sight.

The most infamous flu plague is considered to have killed at least 40 million people all around the world 1918 and 1919. Other than that a little less dangerous flu’s were considered to strike humans in 1957 and 1968.
