This isn’t the first time that the US Navy has seen a disaster involving a training run and this will not be the last either but the families of four Navy personnel who were on board a T-39 n plane are going to get some grieving news as three people on the plane have been declared as deceased. The T-39 crash has been a devastating loss for the US Navy as well which has lost the services of four fine men and the cause of the crash is under investigation. The initial reports claimed that the T-39 crash took place due to a faulty engine which malfunctioned during the flight.
The T-39 crash not only killed the passengers of the plane but managed to set fire to a large are of forested land in the northern Georgian region. Fire crews were assembled to deal with the blaze and the area which was a lit was in an isolated region so one can imagine the task of putting it out to be a hard one. As much as fifteen acres of forest has been destroyed by this blaze which was initiated by the T-39 crash.
The crash took place in the afternoon at the time of four-forty and the plane was last seen flying over the town of Blue Ridge in Georgia. I do not know for certain whether the exact cause of the T-39 crash has been determined and I think that the investigating team is going to have a hard time picking through the debris and the burnt ashes that surround the crash site.
