The Taktsang monastery is the well celebrated and eye-striking Bhutanese monastery and it is situated in the western Bhutan the valley is known as Paro valley. This is a beautiful valley in the center of green mountains. It is situated on a cliff nearly 900 meters above the valley, and is famous as “Tiger’s Nest” because it is the place in the origin of the Bhutan, where the Guru Rimpoche took a flight the Himalaya from Tibet in the 7th century.
It is about two hour’s drive from the parking lot at the base of the hill and the view you got a chance to have is outstanding and marvelous there. A heavy crowed of tourists found in the valley throughout the year though it is often closed to the public but seeing it from outside is also worth-seeing.
Guru Rimpoche contemplated in a cave here during 8th century at least for 3 months where the monastery was built afterward. The cave is known as the origin of Buddhism in Bhutan.
1988was proved the year of the monastery bad luck because it caught fire during the year and after few years monastery is rebuild but the cave has been found unharmed and unbroken since the fire. But it is renovated such skillfully that its original beauty is remained as it was in the beginning. And guys when you will go to visit the place, Bhutanese monastery, you will surely wish to stay here forever. Its scenery will enchant you throughout your life.
