Tariq Aziz has been hospitalized after having a dangerous stroke. Ziad Tariq, the son of Tariq Aziz told that his begetter had lost the power to talk on Friday after he had a stroke. He was taken to a hospital in Ballad, north of the capital city Baghdad, in hasten on Thursday.
Ziad said to Associated Press news organization that his father fell down on the floor by getting a severe stroke in his prison cell and they were told later that he has completely lost his voice.
Badie Aref, Tariq Aziz’s attorney, affirmed the report.
Aref told to the AFP news organization that Aziz’s condition is very dangerous and they’ll make up their mind whether he should continue in hospital or should be taken to Camp Cropper, the United States run jail where Tariq Aziz has been held up.
Pat Johnson, Lieutenant Colonel & a spokesman for United States ground forces in Iraq, said that Tariq’s condition was getting better but he was still being tight monitored.
The greatest court of Iraq gave Ali Hassan al-Majid, a power-broker in past government of Saddam, & Aziz, a sentence of fifteen years imprisonment last year in March.
