A vast mass of the population showed up on the streets of Tehran to commemorate the thirty-first year anniversary of the revolution that took play in Iran a little more than three decades ago. The president of the republic has taken this opportunity to rally the masses against the western domination of the global community. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took this chance to portray to the masses that their country was now successful in enriching Uranium to a previously unattained purity of twenty percent.
The protests have struck a need for counter measures by the opposition parties but security impositions by the government have made it a difficult task. In the meanwhile warnings from the government have been issued stating strict consequences for those who try to disturb this momentous day.
Other than declaring Iran a nuclear state, Ahmadinejad was of concern that the west was trying to hinder true reform in the nation. Though initially worried about rallies from the opposition parties the current government was reassured when large masses showed up for the pro-government rally.
Masses who support the opposition parties have been in attempts to enter central Tehran but have been restricted access by the governments militia given the title of Basij militia. The militia is well armed holding weapons which include guns loaded with real bullets, tear gas and paint ball guns which will be used to spot and mark the protesters. Eye witnesses from the scene have reported to have observed pro-opposition protesters being loaded into government buses.
Tehran which is based in the northern part of Iran is also the capital of the republic.
