The dam at the Tempe town lake broke a couple of days ago, by now no serious injuries or deaths have been reported. The average depth of the lake is about sixteen feet and now only three to four feet of water level is left in the lake. The eye witnesses of the Tempe town lake dam break said that they could see many cars floating away due to the water. An estimated amount of three quarters of a billion gallon of water has been drained out of the lake. Just after the burst of the bladder the rescue teams were called and helicopters flew over the area to make sure that nobody was in the water and to prevent the loss of any precious life. The eye witnesses said that when the bladder exploded the sound was like explosion of a huge balloon and the water immediately started flowing out from the river bed. The officials said that the rescue teams were prepared for such circumstances because the dam of the lake was not in a very good condition. According to sources there was some constructional work that was to be completed on the two sides of the river but it could not be done at time due to the heavy rainfalls and this incident happened, another cause of the Tempe town lake dam break was that water was continuously being rushed into the lake, the lake is now closed for public.
