In BET Awards on June 28 Sunday which was held in Los Angeles at Shrine Auditorium, Tevin Campbell surprisingly made his entry. Although his unexpected arrival on the TV amazed the crowd but it was not that long when media was badly after him to tap the tune of this talented young guy. Along with Tyrese, Trey Songz and Johnny Gill, Tevin Campbell gave a tribute to O’Jays at BET Awards.
“Back Stabbers”, Stairway to Heaven” and Forever Mine” which are the most popular numbers of O’Jays were sung by the singers. Five octave lyrics of Campbell were powerful and strongly sounded during the whole time of his performance and excitement of the crowd proved that the composer and the singer were an immediate hit for this show.
In the Black Entertainment Awards of Television, O’Jays was given an honor by giving the Life Time Achievement Award this year. In this list of all performers at BET Awards of this year, a lot of performers arrived in the last minutes. Because of his high ranking lyrics Tevin Campbell has been nominated five times for Grammy R & B composer and singer awards.
In the year of 1990, Campbell had started his career with the “Single Tomorrow (A Better You Better Me) which took him in the toppers list. Bobby Brown and Ushers are the big names in the category of hip hop and just like that Campbell had made his journey successful from a teen singer to an adult artist.
