A Flubber like creature but having an evil bent is loose on earth and someone must come up with an idea to stop the creature from its heinous intentions. The Blob is a horror movie, released in U.S.A in September 1958. Obviously the film lurked in the mind of horror film lovers as a sequel was made in 1972 and the original was remade in 1988.
The blob is a creature from some other star and is transported to Earth as a meteor strikes in some small town. Hearing the news Steve and Jane become very interested to see the meteor. However the meteor proves much more than a rock. As the meteor has struck near the home of an old villager, he goes to see the rock. As he touches the rock with his stick to observe it, a strange rubbery, jelly like creature emerges and travelling on the villager’s stick enters in his hand! The old man is seen screaming loudly and running. As he is running to have some medical help, he comes across the duo of Steve and Jane. They take the old man to the clinic – a mistake as the creature not only consumes old man and increases in size it also eats the nurse and then doctor too.
The Blob follows Steve and Jane to a store. For its jelly like flexibility it can travel on the floors can climb walls and doors are not at all a problem for it as it can easily enter the rooms by creeping under the doors. As the duo enters a cold area in the store Blob leaves them there.
Blob attacks Steve and Jane while they are dining out. As police attacks blob in the restaurant, it is discovered that only very cold things can curtail The Blob. So Carbon Dioxide is sprayed on it rendering it unable to carry on with its activities. It is then dropped into some extremely cold Arctic area.
