The author of “Twilight” Stephanie Meyer has been accused of copyright breach by another author who wrote “The Nocturne”, “Jordan Scott” for breach of copyright, she claimed that “breaking Dawn” the fourth book in Twilight Saga has to many similarities to her book “the Nocturne”, which was published back in 1996.
Jordan Scott’s attorney described that not only some scenes are similar such as “both books containing a wedding and sex on a beach scene,” but characters explained in the book have many similarities too, such as “Both books have a character explain what it’s like to go from a human to vampire and the lead vampire character referring to their wife as “love”.
Whereas, Hachette Book Group responded by saying that the claim by Jordan Scott about breach of copyright is somehow devoid of merit, they said prior to this claim neither Stephanie Meyer nor any of her representatives have any information about the write or her presumed book.
Jordan Scott’s lawyer has yet to provide us with a copy of her book “The Nocturne” to support their claim as requested by the Hachette Book Group, moreover, they said that Stephanie Meyer has utterly owns the creation of “Twilight Saga” and her books have been an exceptional sensation among the readers.
They also said that it is surprising for them to hear this kind of claim now and people are jealous from her and her creations success and want some share of it, the claim is frisky and any lawsuit will be defended strongly.
