One of the most popular songs by the alternative rock band that goes by the name of Cold Play, The Scientist was only overtaken in hits by “Yellow,” another one of their singles. The Scientist lyrics are very touching to hear as they talk about the singer is pleading sincerity over a matter that might have separated the two.
The Scientist lyrics and composition of the song was a collaborative effort of all the band members and they chose to base it around a piano ballad. The group was formed just thirteen years ago in London in the year 1997 and Chris Martin could be seen as the man with the plan as he sings, plays the piano and plays the guitar, though obviously not all at the same time. Jonny Buckland is the one who plays the solos on the lead guitar, Will Champion is the one on the drums and does backing vocals as well amongst other instruments while Guy Berryman plays the bass guitar. The band makes a terrific foursome with a diversified natural talent.
The main inspiration behind The Scientist lyrics came from one of George Harrison’s most popular song that went by the title of “All Things Must Pass.” Work on the album which their 2nd one to be produced began a few months ago in the month of October a year prior to its release date. The band toured around five continents with this album between June in 2002 till the ninth month of the next year.
