In the spotlight India is struck with another terrorist attack. Yesterday the Indian city of Pune was the target. A famous eating place was blown up with a strong massive bomb. The bomb is said to be made by the terrorists. Nine people lost their lives in the blast, and more than fifty people were wounded.
The people who were killed included foreigners. The bomb blast deflected the spotlight to the fact that foreigners are not safe in India. The last season of Indian Premier League took place in South Africa due to safety issues. The third season of Indian Premier League is scheduled to start next month. This blast has put the spotlight onto the fact that whether foreign players should come to India to take part in the Indian Premier League or not.
Pune is the city which will host the first match of this season of the Indian Premier League. The cricket associations of all the foreign players have decided not to interfere in their decision, as they are not representing their countries in the Indian Premier League. But the Ambassadors will surely warn them of the danger in India. The officials from Indian Cricket board have stated that they shall not be terrified in any way. They believe that foreigners were not the target, the terrorists just wanted to kill innocent people. This event has taken place just a few days prior to Pakistan and India’s talks to settle their disputes. The final reports shall tell whether this attack has its roots coming from Pakistan or not.
