The Wood is a movie that was released in the annum 1999 and is based around three childhood friends who meet up with each other after ages when news of one of the friends getting married gets to them. The screenplay of The Wood was written by Rick Famuyiwa and Todd Boyd while Rick was also in charge of directing the film. The cast of The Wood is Richard T. Jones Taye Diggs and Omar Epps.
The movie starts off with one of the characters Mike (played by Omar Epps) telling the story of how he first met his two best friends Roland and Slim. The character of Roland is played by the actor Taye Diggs while Slim is played by Richard T. Jones. The beginning of the story begins with Mike’s narrative of meeting this girl he had developed a crush on and her name was Alicia.
In the movie The Wood they show a scene in which Mike’s two buddies Slim and Roland bet him a dollar to go and grab Alicia’s behind which he goes to do to only get slapped around while his friends laugh. Roland is getting married and Mike and Slim go to find him when the get a call from Tanya who tells them that Roland is intoxicated and that they need to come and get him because there isn’t much time before the ceremonies for the wedding begin, in fact the wedding is only two hours away.
In the meanwhile the story keeps on shifting from the present to the past as they spend their time together getting Roland to the wedding. They show off their dance moves and make fun of each other, all in all The Wood is a classic movie that is light hearted in nature and meant to make the audience laugh.
