An official statement has finally been released by the pro golfer Tiger Woods after his car accident. The statement which was released on his official website on Sunday denies all the rumors circulating around after his car accident. In his statement he also thanked his wife for ‘acting courageously’.
After his car accident this Friday, many rumors were circulating around (thanks to the Internet). The rumors included his personal issues and about his plans about the upcoming golf event. Among other rumors related to his accident, one particular news statement was quite interesting and was widely circulated on the Internet and in the media gossiping circles – Woods’ alleged affair with woman named Rachel Uchitel. Speculations were made that Woods had an argument with his wife about the ‘other woman’ on Friday night and hence left the home after a fight. Fuming with anger, Tiger could not control his high-speed Cadillac and hence slipped off the road. The story does not end here. Many celebrity gossip magazines even published articles about Tiger’s alleged ‘secret’ affair with Rachel along with full biography of the ‘other woman’ and the source of information. Rumors about Tiger’s alleged mistress’ affairs with other men were also widely published online.
Other rumors about Tiger Woods’ accident included that he was drunk driving and hence could not get hold of the speedy car. The car slipped off the road and smashed into a tree. Few other news sources spread rumors about Tiger getting seriously injured in the accident. Some rumors are still circulating about his inability to appear in the Chevron World Challenge – a golf championship match which was supposed to be hosted by Tiger Woods himself.
While the last rumor may eventually turn out to be true, all the other rumors have been denied by his statement and calls them ‘false’, ‘unfounded’, and ‘malicious’.
