Holmes is divorced by ex-wife Amy, at one time dated TLC’s Rozonda “Chili” Thomas, and is now committed.
Holmes recently wrote on his clashes with racism on the AC360 web site as:
I have not got in contact with a lot of blazing racialism in his life. I have been titled the N-word. To be straight, it ne’er really discomfits me because as soon as that word appears by person’s mouth, I am pretty certain that I have won the statement. That person has just affirmed how illiterate they’re. I do not inevitably consider most people racialist. I have, however, come across a lot racial bias. What I mean by i.e. people does not hate me because of my complexion but they just do not see me as an equal.

One day a gentleman came across to me as I was washing out my truck and said to me gentleman, I only got to know. What do you guys do to have good automobiles like that? He was a decent guy and was not actually awful as he asked the question. He really looked bewildered about how a young, black man could be driving such a good car.
