Tom Culp shot his wife “Connie Culp” in the face with a shotgun in 2004 and then he shot himself in the face just because he was not able to put up with the wound of domestic violence.
Tom Culp will be spending 7 years of his life behind bars. He was sentenced on 13th April, 2005 for shooting his wife Connie in the face. Tom Culp said that he is sorry for what he did with his wife before asking the Judge to show some leniency in his case. He further said that he that he accepts what he did to his wife and he is ready for the verdict because he does not want to start the trial for the case as it would further hurt his wife. More over Tom Culp said that he has never stopped thinking about the night when he shot Connie, where as he never turned his face directly towards Connie while talking to the Judge.
After the verdict Tom Culp’s wife Connie requested the judge to let them talk in private for a while, after meeting her husband Connie said that when “Tom Culp” will be released from the prison he better put her on a pedestal.
At that time Connie Culp was unable to see was severely disfigured even after several complicated operating procedures. In the December of 2008 Connie Culp underwent a 22 hours groundbreaking transplant operation at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio to restore her face.
Connie Culp 46 year old women with two children and two young grandsons told the doctors that just want to intermingle back into society.
On the other hand Tom Clup will be finishing his verdict for 7 year in year 2012.
