National Weather Service stated in a report that a false Tsunami warning has been issued to the Northern Coasts, the statement said that the warning issued for D.C, Alaska and British Columbia has been cancelled. Tsunami Oregon and California Coast was issued by NWS at 3:00 P.M has been cancelled, however authorities are still watching the coastal line, waves are expected to hit the coastal line are not higher than 2ft, arrival of waves on the coast line is between 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.
Although, warning for Tsunami has been cancelled for the areas, an advisory is still in effect for the coast lines, Tsunami advisory means that a tsunami able to produce strong and dangerous waves and can be a cause of danger for the people near or in the water.
An alert for locals of low-lying coast line has been issued according to which they can contact their local emergency officials for further instructions, whereas evacuations are being ordered by the emergency response teams as safety measures. People are advised to move away from ocean line and out of the harbour and marina areas.
No major floods are expected, nevertheless, dangerous currents and surges are expected to hit harbour and bay areas.
