Tsunami watch has issued warnings to the neighboring countries and regions of Chile which underwent a devastating catastrophe in the wee hours of the morning today. People were seen coming out to the street in absolute horror as an earthquake measuring eight point eight on the Richter Scale jolted through the south central region of Chile today. The earthquake struck at three thirty-four a.m. today and made the Tsunami watch alert in informing the close by regions to watch out for tsunami like waves that could follow the quake.
On the other end of the Pacific Ocean the government of Philippine advised residents of the coastal area to stay alert and evacuate their homes or offices which may be in close proximity to the coastline as the Tsunami watch reports came in. Meanwhile the neighborhood regions of Chile are on a high Tsunami watch as the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued to a warning to locations including Colombia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Antarctica and Costa Rica.
The earthquake was so massive that its effects could be felt in the Andean provinces of Argentina and people in Santiago say that they were woken up by the quake but things were moreover fine at home though the internet connection, electricity supply and mobile networks were undergoing some difficulties. Apart form the countries that have been issued a warning by the Tsunami watch the American state of Hawaii will be on alert as well to keep a look out for a possible tsunami that might be headed their way.
