Turrets syndrome is a hereditary disarray of the nervous system, distinguished by a changeable appearance of discarded movements and noises (spasm). Turrets Syndrome is not considered as uncommon diseases now a day, but it has never been recognized appropriately as most cases are illustrated as mild. Almost 1 to 10 kids out of 1000 have Turrets Syndrome and as per a research 10 adults out of 1000 are considers to be suffering with Turrets Syndrome, more common spasm are cough, eye blinking, sniffing facial movements and throat clearing but people who suffers with this tic syndrome spent life as normal humans and this disease does not harm their intelligence or what so ever.
The cause of Turrets Syndrome is unknown until now, but it is well recognized that both hereditary and environmental aspects are involved.
Recently a Georgia teacher named as Brad Cohen won a teaching award regardless of ever odd being against him, and as soon as you will know that he is suffering from Turrets Syndrome you will be amazed too. Brad Cohen is not only a teacher but a motivational speaker and an author too.
The Turrets Syndrome does not affect brains but as I explained earlier that it does make you take out obnoxious noises and sound and you have no control over that. Brad also suffers with it which means that the sounds and noises came out of his mouth are not in his control, due to this reason many in the school pick on him.
Brad’s life changes the day his principle asked him to make a speech about his disease, but the fact was that he grew up in 80’s and 90’s and was absolutely have no idea what this disease is but as soon as he made the speech about his disease everyone has accepted him including students and fellow teachers. Brad becomes the hero of the children and fellow adults and he showed them that a positive approach towards anything will end up with good.
