
Tyler Weinman an 18-year-old boy from South Florida was apprehended early Sunday for killing and mutilating over 1-1/2 dozen cats in Miami area communities.
Tyler Hayes Weinman was detained early Sunday morning at a part. He is charged for killing and mutilating cats in two Miami neighborhoods. Weinman was charged with 19 misdemeanor counts of offensively disposing of an animal’s body and four felony counts of robbery 19 felony counts of animal brutality.
Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay residents have been reporting over the past month for finding more than 1-1/2 dozen cats killed and mutilated in the area. Many of the cats were found with missing fur whereas some of them were completely skinned and others were cut into pieces.
The killer was nicknamed as “Cat Serial Killer” left the dead cats in plain sight of residents. Investigators are still investigations the killings and according to the police more arrests are expected.
Shad, who lives in Tyler Weinman neighborhood, said that he had suspected that some local resident might be behind the cat killing, first reported in May. At-least four confirmed killings of cats were reported in the neighborhood streets, where Tyler Weinman live.
According to Shads, Tyler Weinman arrest has brought a sense of relief to their calm housing neighborhood.
