Another sad incident happened at Storrs, Connecticut where a young student was stabbed to death. Jasper Howard, a student at UCONN and a football player in the school tea, was fatally stabbed. He was immediately taken to the hospital where he succumbed to death. Jasper Howard, 20, was the only son of his family. Howard was 5-foot-9 tall and had a weight of 174 pounds. He was a college football player and played as a starting cornerback for his college team.
The sad incident happened on Sunday night after 12:30 a.m. during a dance party laid out by the college. A fight broke out between two groups and two people were stabbed. They were brutally injured when other students set the fire alarm on. The injured students were taken to Windham Community Memorial Hospital on UCONN campus ambulances. Jasper Howard died in the hospital while the other injured student is recovering from injuries. He was released from the hospital on Sunday morning.
UCONN police and the state police special crime unit are involved in the investigation. UCONN police has stated that the perpetrator of the stabbing is still at large and that police is looking for him. No one was kept in police custody. Police has asked the students to help them in investigations.
An emergency message was sent to the subscribers at the campus about the incident and Jason’s death. The college website has warned the students that the stabbing executor is till at large.
Jason Howard was originally from Miami and attended Miami Edison High School. Jason often talked about how his mother had brought him up by working multiple jobs. He often talked about the difficult their family had while lining in Miami and how her mother helped him and his sisters financially. Jason was the first to go to the college from his family. His death is definitely a great loss for his family.
