UFC RESULTS.BJ Penn Defeats Diego Sanchez Via TKO In 5th Round.
From the center of the cage the first round starts with Diego rushing with his heavy punches on Penn. Diego is reverted back and dropped down by a right hand counter. Even more sold punches from Penn when he recovers on his feet. Sanchez lunges a flying knee but in vain, it is blocked by Penn.
Penn stalks Sanches in the 2nd round. Sanches flies a leg but it is blocked but Sanches succeeds to launch an upper cut at Penn. The crowd roars “BJ”. Penn lands a right hand and there comes blood from the right ear of Diego. Sanches tries his 2nd take down attempt gets Penn down but for a moment. Penn springs back and lands punches with more ferocity.
Sanchez comes rushing and kicks but Penn defends with a left hook. Sanchez pushes Penn to the cage. Diego again tries for a take down but Penn reciprocates with punches on his face that make Sanchez to stop his take down attempt.
Fourth round witnesses a more aggressive Penn who lands his well placed nice left. Then a beautiful right-left combo from Penn. Penn retreats as Sanchez tries wildly to land some punches on Penn. Then wild trade between the two till the bell rings.
The fifth and in this case final round starts with Penn landing a body shot and Sanchez reciprocating with a head kick. Then Sanchez widely attempts for single legs but drops down and Penn sprawls. The crowd again chants BJ,BJ and Penn comes with a heavy right hand plus head kick and Sanchez gives another try to take down but till the time he is bleeding heavily and referee stops the fight, the doctor is called in and he asks to stop the fight in presence of heavy cuts. Penn wins a technical knockout (TKO).
