If you are unemployed and expecting your benefits in the month of April then there is bit of a controversy running in the senate that might cause you a bit of a worry relating to your unemployment insurance but not to fret too much because there is an emergency unemployment compensation provision that should cover for you for a period of fifty-three weeks. The unemployment insurance bill that was meant to be passed again was rejected by one of the republican senators on the claims that it would add to the already sky-rocketing deficit that the country is facing. The total cost of the unemployment insurance on the government is coming to nine point two billion dollars, an amount that is causing senators to doubt its necessity whereas, if one were to think about it long and hard the trade deficit has nothing to do with the choices of the common man but rather the short-sighted approach that the previous republican government had taken when it decided to dedicate a large portion of the budget towards military spending.
Now a lot of people will be going through the predicament of not knowing whether the bill will be passed again in the future since it was not extended, much against the hopes of the democratic senators who were trying their best to extend the date. The jobless aid programs couldn’t be expiring at a worst time since the congress would also be in a recess for the time when it does.
