The deadlock has been removed between the Miami Dade School and the united teachers of Dade. It took one year and four months to settle the dispute. Both the parties agreed on mutual interests and finally the teachers signed the contract with the validity of 36 month with the management of Miami Dad School.
The teachers of the Miami Dade School finally have something to cheer about. now there is a very strong chance of increase in the salaries of the teachers after the agreement between the parties, the management of school and the teachers.
It was back in June 2008, when the management showed the inability to pay the promised increase in the salaries due to the shortage of funds in the budget. The salaries were frozen for the year 2008-2009.
More the 20,000 teachers worked with the school without any contractual binding since the new business year.
The superintendent of the school appreciated the agreement and said it is a relief sign for the teachers on the both sides, the teachers protection and the benefits and salaried. He said the struggle and the tough time had ended for the teachers.
The agreement between the teachers has covered all the discrepancies and all the issues faced by the teachers. The agreement enforced around 1.8 percent jump in the salaries and the salaries of the teachers will be renegotiated and reviewed in the beginning of every fiscal year for three years. The agreement also provides the free insurance to the teachers and also a recruitment bonus for the struggling teachers.
