Urijah Faber Broken Hand will get surgery on Tuesday, 9th June, 2009 to repair two broken bones in his right hand. Urijah Faber endured the injury on Sunday at ARCO Arena during his WEC Featherweight Championship fight against Mike Brown.
Urijah Faber’s broke his hand during his Featherweight Title rematch with Mike Brown on Sunday at ARCO Arena. Urijah Faber broke two bones in his right hand during the first round of the fight. Even though Faber’s hand was broken in the first round he put forth a Championship effort by throwing in short elbows and positioning himself right into harm’s way with everything he could think. Losing by undisputed decision, Urijah Faber fought bravely and lasted the full five rounds of the fight with the current champion.
During the WEC broadcast Urijah Faber addressed the crowd and said that he apologize for hurting his both hands, he said that he would love to get back and have another shot of the title, he also said that he love fighting and he will be back.
Urijah Faber went to the local Hospital to have himself checked after the fight and skipped the post-fight press conference, less than 12 hours after the fight Faber posted three x-rays of his broken hand “using Twitter”.
