Several Americans are celebrating the release of 2 journalists named Euna Lee and Laura Ling. Former President of US “Bill Clinton” has also gone to “North Korea” looking for their release. Both journalists were sentenced to prison due to illegal activity. Back in the March, they were arrested from North Korea/Chinese border by North Korean troops under unexplained conditions.
After than Euna Lee and Laura King were sent in prison camp in June for 12 years. The conditions of prison camp explained as terrible. They were working for Cable Network of “Vice President Al Gore”. At the time of arrest; they were reporting on the dilemma of North Korean immigrants in Southern China.
They were reporting on the plight of North Korean refugees in southern China.
The mission of North Korea by Bill Clinton is looks to be part of a bop wherein North Korea has led the US before. North Korean naval vessels and jets attacked on the USS Pueblo (a navy intelligence ship) on 23th of January, 1968 in international waters. 82 current officers were imprisoned for 11 months through this attack and they were tortured and starved during this period.
As US was greatly involved in a military conflict in Vietnam so no armed attempt was made to recuperate the USS Pueblo or her squad. The troop was only released when US made an embarrassing accord in which she confessed that the USS Pueblo was on detective task in North Korea’s waters together with a request for forgiveness and assure not to do this again. The accord was orally rejected by American representatives the moment Pueblo’s crew was freed. The event leftovers a black mark in history of American naval and diplomatic.
