According to the diners present in the popular Sandbar Sports Grill bar, Vail Colorado, the man who undertook shooting appeared drunk and uncomfortable. He was also bothering the bar staff and customers.
As he was quickly losing control of himself, employees of the bar led him out of the door. However as soon as he crossed the doorstep, he extracted a gun and started firing.
Reportedly a victim died of the shootings and three others were wounded.
Two of the victims received serious injuries and were undergoing surgery in the Vail Valley Medical Centre.
The suspect was identified as a local resident named Richard Moreau. Richard Moreau 63 was quickly caught by the police.
There were 12 customers present in the bar at the time the incident happened. According to the witnesses Robert Moreau re-entered the bar, after being led out of the bar and shot some 10 bullets. Most of the people present in the bar rushed out to the back door and were able to leave the bar.
The people sitting in the far corner thought that the sounds are of firecrackers; however the look on the face of Moreau made them realize the gravity of the situation.
The investigation into the event is underway, and the motive of the shootings is unclear, however Moreau is a long time resident of Vail and has served the army in Vietnam War. Moreau in a previous interview had said that he was suffering from Post Traumatic Stress disorders since his return from the war.
