Villanova Vs Montana: Villanova wins the title game with 23-21.
Andy Talley was hired in 1985 to re-develop the football program of Villanova Wildcats and after twenty-five season, Villanova and Tally finally saw their dream becoming true when Villanova won the FCS title game after beating Montana with 23-21. Interestingly, before the national championship game, Andy tally’s friends suggested him to undergo heart tests. But Tally didn’t give an ear to their warnings and called it ‘a pretty good death’ to die winning the championship. He can surly rest now after the victory of Villanova Wildcats.

It was Montana’s record 17th consecutive appearance in the playoffs, however, few past seasons have not proved to be very good for them Montana as they lost the title game last year too. Montana did get the chance to balance the 23-21 score at the last minute of the game when Selle threw a TD pass to Sambrano but it went out of bounds. Selle covered 351 yards and made three touchdowns while Whitney of Villanova ran for 102 yards with one interception and one touchdown.

Montana coach Bobby Hauck said that their mistakes, rather than lack of confidence, cost them the game. Villanova’s Andy Tally praised the game played by Montana while Montana’s wide receiver regretted their loss and said that he is feeling bad after his team losing second title game in a row.
