
Vinita Nair
Vinita Nair is an ABC news co-anchor.”World News Now” and “America This Morning,” are the news programs she co-anchors every day. She is also a journalist and contributes reports to all other ABC News’ broadcasts.
Vinita is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Illinois. She is originally from Colleyville, Texas.
On December 2007 Vinita joined ABC News as an anchor and journalist for “ABC News Now”.
On September 2008, Vinita started her new duties as co-anchor of “America This Morning” and “World News Now” for ABC news. Pryor to that her she use to do live coverage and news briefs for ABC’s 24-hour digital network.
Vinita also had worked KWGN-TV as a lead evening reporter before joining ABC news family in December 2007, in Denver. Vinita joined the KWGN-TV in July of 2004 started reporting career she has reported on a large variety of topics, including the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation and the Bailey, Colorado School Shootings.
Prior to that she anchored daily morning and afternoon newscasts and also done some work as an anchor and reporter for KOLN/KGIN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Vinita began her career as general assignment reporter in television news at WGEM-TV, the NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois.
She has also worked for WYCC-TV, Chicago’s Public Access Network and the Illinois Evanston Community Cable Channel. Before starting her television journalism career, she was a writer for Today’s Chicago Woman and also a reporter for Talk Radio News in Washington DC.
