A teenager was killed during “Waconia Farm Supply Explosion”. One more was wounded when a propane container at Waconia Farm exploded on Wednesday 10th June, 2009. Waconia Farm Supply is a busy, straggly farm supply business-center in Waconia, just west of “Minneapolis-Saint Paul” known as twin cities.
According to Carver County Sheriff Bud Olson the teenager who died in the Explosion at Waconia Farm Supply was the employee of the store and at the time of explosion he was approaching a propane tank filling area which is situated in front of the business-center’s main building. Waconia Farm Supply Explosion occurred at about 4:55 P.M.
Ryan Samuelson a senior at Waconia High School was just 17-years-old, he was identified by friends. Memorial service arrangements for 17-year-old are impending at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
Fire in the main building followed “Waconia Farm Supply Explosion”, a straggly compound which includes several buildings, fuel tanks and a nursery area. Firefighters quickly put out the fire but the main building area which was in-front of propane container endured fire, water and smoke damage.
Waconia Farm Supply is located near the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 284 in Waconia, the store has over 100 employees and sells new and used farm tools, lawn supplies and feed.
The other teen that was injured during “Waconia Farm Supply Explosion” was taken to Ridgeview Medical Center for treatment.
