The Wake Forest University is a private American University. It is located in the sate of North Carolina. It was founded in 1834.The main campus of the institute is located in Winston Salem. The university was ranked as the best college in America in 2009.The United States News and World Report ranked the university at the eleventh position for best undergraduate university. The university started its school of law in 1894.The university was only for male students but after the second world war the university starting accepting female students and it became a co-educational institute.
The university included a wide variety of subjects which included the school of arts, school of business, school of accounting, foreign literature. They also provided languages classes such as French, German, Latin, Japanese, Arabic and Spanish. The university also conducts a variety of study abroad programs. The university also offers an exclusive masters degree in Divinity. It started its school of divinity in the early 1990s.The institute was ranked fourteenth by the Business week. The university was placed second for its large number of international student Exchange.The University also established their own press.
The Wake Forest University has its own athletic team. It is also a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Wake Forest basketball team is known as the Demon Deacons. It is the holder of 8 national championships in a variety of sports. The men’s basketball divisions at Wake forest qualified around twenty times for the National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball tournament. The wake forest played against the Texas team and won the match. They are now on the second position in the National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament.
