Two new grand hotels have opened in Orlando near Disney. One of these two hotels is Waldorf Astoria Orlando which was inaugurated on Thursday at 10 a.m. The opening and inauguration ceremony of the hotel was attended by the likes of Orlando Mayor Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Rich Crotty, Florida governor Charlie Christ and golf course designer Rees Jones. The director of the grand Waldorf Astoria Orlando, Tom Parke, addressed the ceremony. In his briefing to media personnel, Tom Parke said that the occasion is historical for the Waldorf franchise. He said that their team had been waiting for this day for more than nine years and that history has been made. He also said that the hotel will add luxury to the area. The director also told that the guest in Waldorf Astoria Orlando will be able to enjoy similar amenities which they have enjoyed at the original Waldorf Astoria in New York.
Built on 482 acres, the splendid hotel has 1200 rooms, a golf course, and a grill open for public all day. The hotel rooms are full of facilities with flat-screen television sets and surround-sound entertainment systems. The hotel will offer 13 different courses of meals to its guest throughout the day. During its opening week, Waldorf Astoria Orlando is offering rooms at discounted prices.
The opening of the two hotels has been welcomed by the locals. The hotel has brought luxurious resort in the area as well as plenty of jobs for the locals.
