The deals that are present at the giant store Walmart have been able to attract the people to the stores and the presence of so many customers must have been a delight to the owner. At same time when company is enjoying all those high numbers of customers they are entangled into a law suit that claims that the chain of stores has been discriminating women in salaries and other benefits. There is still some time when the Supreme Court shall be issuing statement whether case should go trial or not as a single suit is perhaps not enough to speak on part of the 1.5 million employees of the company.
The business lawyers and the civil rights lawyers are taking a close look at the Walmart case for the implications on the class action litigation. A lawyer gave a comment on this whole thing that this whole thing might sound technical and a complete procedural issue but due to the economics that is involved in it, class action certification might prove to be most important aspect in it. If high court permits the case of Walmart to proceed than there would be loads of pressure on the retail store to settle matter otherwise it can badly damage their reputation. There are numbers of corp. that have joined hands with Walmart in order to help them take protection in this case, as they do not like that many lawyers join hands and lump together thousands of employees to prove that something illegal is going around.
