The residents of west palm beach witnessed a huge cloud of dust expand from the area which once housed a thirty story apartment building. The West Palm Beach implosion came as the apartment building was demolished due to its broken down state after suffering from the hurricane that hit it in the year 2004.
The West Palm Beach implosion took place just a few minutes after nine o’clock this morning and sent debris flying into the sea and surrounding areas. The buildings demolition was delayed by a year when last year a company, hired for the demolition, could not raise the funds needed to insure the neighboring buildings.
The West Palm Beach implosion used a massive total of 2000 sticks of dynamite in what was one of the largest demolitions that the West Palm Beach has seen till now. The total amount of money required to insure the neighboring condos and apartments came to a staggering fifty million dollars. The closest buildings to surround the area of the thirty story tower lied at a very close range being no more than a hundred and forty-two feet away.
The company that was in charge of the West Palm Beach implosion is a seasoned company which has been imploding buildings for the last three decades. Its areas of work include buildings as far away as those in India. The Famous pop band TLC was interested in making a video of the implosion to use in their music videos but decided against it in the end when the cost of the filming turned out to be unfeasible.
