The internet users are wondering why Google is spelled wrong? Google, which is the internet’s widely used search engine, is celebrating its 11th birthday today. Google has put up two L’s in its logo on its homepage to commemorate its 11th birthday. Google was initiated by two pioneers Lary Page and Sergey Brin while they were studying in Stanford University as Phd students.
Last year Google celebrated its birthday on 2nd September with a cup cake on its logo. Google has also celebrated its birthday on7th and 15th of September in previous years. Every year Google celebrates its birthday on different dates. Google was registered in various steps and on different dates. For instance, Google submitted its registration papers for the domain name on 4th of September while the domain name was registered on 15th September, 1998.
The 11th Birthday logo of Google got changed in western part of the United States only a while ago. In Europe the logo was changed earlier in the day while in eastern parts of United States the logo was changed a few hours ago. Seeing two L’s in the logo many people wondered why the name’s been misspelled. The two L’s is probably the most appropriate way to celebrate the birthday with the Google Users.
Google has been busy celebrating birthday during the entire month. Earlier this month, Google put flying saucers and machine fighters to celebrate the 143rd birthday of H.G. Wells who wrote the book War of the Worlds.
